Toronto Western General Hospital is conducting a clinical research study to test a new drug for Cervical Dystonia (abnormal spasms in the neck).
The drug is currently approved for use in the USA and Canada for treating epilepsy. The purpose of this study is to test the safety and benefit in treating the symptoms of cervical dystonia.
All participants receive the active drug.
To participate you must:
- Be between 18 and 65 years old with Cervical Dystonia
- Be willing to stop botulinum toxin injections (if applicable) for 12 weeks
- Be willing to return to the clinic for five (5) visits
- Be willing to be contacted by telephone for three (3) follow-up phone calls
