Heather and Grant Connor are the parents of two young boys who suffer from dystonia, and are proud members of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF) Canada Board of Directors.
Please consider supporting the Connor Family by making a donation to support critical research that will lead to better clinical treatments and ultimately, a cure for dystonia. Your contribution allows us to fund research in an effort to provide real, sustainable and positive changes for families struggling with this disorder.
In 2020, we will fund the first-ever research into sensory nerve feedback in dystonia patients. The goal is to determine the extent of sensory dysfunction, which can potentially be integral in opening up new or modified types of treatment. We will also fund a project that will attempt to utilize a machine learning algorithm to improve the efficacy of deep brain stimulation in treating Dystonia.
"We take the responsibility of being a steward of your donation very seriously. We are asking you to contribute to the DMRF because we believe we can achieve significant results in our sons' lifetimes!
Please support our continued efforts and contribute to DMRF Canada this year.
On behalf of the hundreds of families in Canada affected by dystonia, thank you for your support and generosity."
