In honor of my 50th birthday and in lieu of gifts, my family and I have chosen to direct significant funding towards medical research that focuses on Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery for the treatment of dystonia. This remarkable surgical approach has been a completely life altering procedure for our youngest 9 year old son Isaac and for my beautiful and loving wife Julie. Funding clinical research on the efficacy of DBS surgery and ensuring that this procedure becomes a more widely accessible standard of care is critical — especially with early intervention for children.
