Support Groups and Area Contacts

From time immemorial people have needed one another.  Support groups offer hope and help.  They call upon resources; they offer companionship and valuable lessonss and adaptive strategies; they lessen loneliness and isolation.  Support groups, no matter what the affiliction, epiomize the theme, "We are not alone."Support groups are people who share a common problem, giving of themselves and, when doing so, help themselves.

Our support network in Canada contains Support Groups and Chapters where people with dystonia can reach out and help one another, learn more about dystonia through education and speakers, help raise the profile of dystonia through awareness and contribute to research through local fundraising efforts.  We also have a legion of Area Contacts throughout Canada.  These Area Contacts are available to help people connect with support groups, medical contacts, on line assistance and  dystonia literature.
